Goeie dag Sinapi Saaiers en baie welkom by vandag se spesiale Moedersdagboodskap. Seenwense, Sidney

Good day Sanapi Seeders and welcome to this morning's special Mother's Day letter. I am sure we are all aware of Proverbs 31: 10-31 where the mother of King Lemuel, king of Massa is teaching her son about the virtuous woman. The passage addresses specific aspects of a virtuous woman, also applicable to all mothers, and include traits such as: She is very valuable, She works very hard, She may be working very far, She works long hours, She cares for the needy, She thinks about important issues, and then she responds to them, too the benefit of her family, She cares for and does good to her husband, and he can trust her and he can praise her, She is honorable, She is attentive, She is not lazy and she is not vain, But most importantly, she fears the Lord! Specifically with regards to my message this morning, the following verse deals with her as teacher and educator: 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom, and in her tongue is the law of kindness (KJV). So, together with the sweet of today, also a little bit of salt, specifically addressed to our mothers: Mothers, the Most High has blessed you with parenting, but one day He will also hold you accountable for how you raised your child. It is not acceptable for children to be allowed to undermine the parental authority established by God as part of His family order. Exodus 20:12 (KJV) " 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. No options or alternatives; it must be done without reservation and condemnation. There is no better time than now for parents to do a reality check, and realize again that children are not allowed to do just what they want. Mothers, let's educate our children with love, consistency, and self-control so that we raise responsible and God-loving children with positive self-images, and that we can set an example that reflects God's character through a God-centred family culture. Men, help, support and motivate your children today so that, together, you can make this day very special for our mothers. There is nothing more precious to a mother than a respectful husband and obedient children who prove their love to her every day. Do a self-check and a “kids-check” regularly, to see if you and the kids are still doing this. In conclusion, may every mother experience a wonderful day of relaxation and being spoiled, and enjoy the day with your children, which God provided.
Amen. Our Almighty God and Heavenly Father, we praise Your wonderful and powerful name. You are the Creator of everything, on, in, and around the earth.
We thank You and praise You for taking care of us, and in our daily needs, providing as You please, and we have silent comfort in what You provide to us. We acknowledge and confess today that we are sinful in the flesh. We acknowledge that we are not worthy of Your forgiveness and that we receive it only through Your love for us. We know that You are the righteous Judge and we acknowledge that one day every knee will bow before You and each of us will be held accountable for our actions on earth. We also acknowledge that You punish sin, but that You are also merciful to Your children. We ask that You have compassion with us and humbly ask that You forgive our sins. Dear Father, we also ask that You soften our hearts so that we forgive those who have sinned against us. We ask for true Holy Spirit guidance with this because we know we are never alone when we hold on to You. Almighty Father, we humbly plead today that the Holy Spirit will work with the hearts of our leaders so that whatever they do, they will do it in Your name. We pray for our political leaders, our spiritual leaders, our teachers, parents, and any other person in authority, that their hearts and actions will be in line with what You are commanding us to do. We pray for a heart of meekness and understanding for every person in South Africa, but also specifically for each Sinapi Seeder. Thank you for everyone who makes their hearts and finances available to assist others, especially during these troubling times, and we pray that you will bless them all. Please open our hearts to each other so that we can know that none of us are alone during these troubling times. There are so many attacks against the true Church of God right now that it is easy to get upset and discouraged, but we pray for Your guidance and Your power today. Heavenly Father, today we bind every curse, bond, and attack that exists against any of Your children. We rebuke every idea formed to undermine Your Word and Your works. We pray that You will draw an army of angels around each of Your children, and we have comfort in knowing that Your will, will always be done. We pray that Your Word will reach the corners of the earth so that every person who hears Your Word will repent and accept Your salvation. We thank You and we pray for every person who has given their hearts to You during this time. We pray for Israel and we pray for every person who stands tall in Your name in any of Your ministries. Bless every faithful servant in Your service, give them courage, and keep them close to Your heart. We pray for the weak, the old and the needy, we pray that You will assist them wherever there may be help and need required. We pray for strength, comfort, and perseverance, for every person suffering or who is being persecuted for Your Word today. Please hold each one's hand firmly in Your hand, and may each person's suffering be short-lived. We declare today that we believe in God the Father, the Almighty, Creator of heaven, and earth. and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, born of the Virgin Mary; who suffered under Pontius Pilate, Jesus Christ who was crucified, died and was buried, descended and rose again from the dead on the third day; who ascended to heaven and who sits at the right hand of God the Almighty Father, who will one day return and who come to judge the living and the dead. We pray all these things, not because we deserve them but we pray them because we stand in grace, may You will be done. We praise Your wonderful Name as to You belong to the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Good day Sinapi Seeder, This morning, with great sadness, I came to the realization again that there is so much happening in our lives, every day, that we take for granted while there are so many people who have so much less than us. Did we, as the true church of God, forget how - and why – we need to be grateful? And how to show our gratitude; to show it to God and to our fellow man. I believe that most of us have a grateful heart, even if we do not always say or show it. But do we know in our hearts why we should be grateful? We find the answer to this: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” It is God's will that we should be grateful! And not just with certain things, we have to be grateful for everything... As human beings, and because we are human, we are so quick to get used to everything around us and especially things that we are given; to take what we have for granted. It includes basic things like eating when we're hungry, a roof over our heads, a job or income, health and many more. And to make it worse, we often go that step further and claim all of this as a right. But when all this changes in a blink of an eye by, for example, our current enforced isolation, we realize again that we are 100% dependent on God and His grace. Then most of us start again to be sincerely grateful to our Heavenly Father for what we are given. There is so much to be grateful for; every minute of every day. Just the realization that God has given us a new day each day that we wake up should make us burst out of our seams with gratitude. Then we do not even mention His love or His grace for us. Yes, everything is just by His grace. Why should we be grateful then? Gratitude honours God, gratitude is a testimony to unbelievers and gratitude strengthens our faith. Gratitude is precious and it is priceless. The Word says in Proverbs 25:11 (KJV): "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." Gratitude leads to deeper relationships with God and with our fellow men; we also serve others by being grateful. When we feel valued, it makes us happy. When we show that we value others, it makes them happy. Show your gratitude! In Luke 17: 12-19 we read that Jesus completely healed the ten lepers. All ten were very grateful for Jesus' kindness, but only one showed his gratitude as well, and Jesus noticed it pertinently. Luke 17:15; 16 (KJV) “15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.” Today's life is very much opposed to God's true church. Gratitude then, is one of the ways in which we can glorify God regularly, but also how we demonstration His image and His Word. We do this by showing our gratitude not only in our homes but also in public and towards our fellow beings. Small words like please and thank you carry a lot of power when we use it when needed. “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear”. (Hebrews 12:28 KJV). First of all, and the most important, is to show our gratitude to God and to say it as well, and then our gratitude to every person who makes a positive contribution to our lives, whether through motivation or support; financially, physically or emotionally. Let us be sincerely grateful again, and let us show it regularly and without any motives, so that we may glorify God by it. My challenge to you today is: show at least 5 times every day, for at least the next 30 days, that you are grateful to God and your fellow men. Also, make a point of it to contemplate daily about the following: Do I thank God enough? Do I thank God regularly? How can I thank God more? How can I show my gratitude more? To conclude, let's pray the following prayer together: Thank you, our Heavenly Father, for Your grace, and thank You for Your love. Thank you that Jesus died for us on the cross and that he rose again. Thank you for every day You give to us. Thank you for our gifts and talents. Thank you for every person You send to cross our paths, some for short periods and others for longer periods, and for the life lessons we learn through these relationships. Thank you for our families and friends. Thank you for knowing that You are there, to fill these places, for everyone who needs them. Thank you for this time of isolation, time we can spend with You again, time we get to study Your Word again. Thank you for our health. Thank you for everything you provide: finances, food, a roof over our heads and anything else that we can add to this list. Lastly, Father, I ask that You forgive our sins. Help us to become more like Christ, only by Your grace. Please be with every person where there may be shortages or needs, and we pray that You will provide, as and how it pleases You. Amen Dear Sinapi Seeder, Welcome to the very first blog of our newly launched website. As a start, I would like to share Matt 6:8-15 with you, or as many might also known it, the Lord’s Prayer. I am not going to make this first blog a very long segment as I am sure that you are just as excited as we are, wanting to explore this web page in depth. That being said, it still is a very important blog post, one that we can either ponder on, or research in-depth, but definitely one that makes us realize again that our Heavenly Father is perfect in all and everything. Most of us are aware of what is written in this text, many a person wrote and elaborated on the meanings and contexts of this specific Scriptural piece, and we are all in agreement that this is one of the best-known texts in the world. But then, how many times are the verse before and the verse after the Lord’s Prayer (verse 8 and verse 15 in the KJV) been included, discussed or penned down? Not as often as the Prayer itself, that is for sure. So, when we do look at these two verses, both are so powerful, it is almost as if it is a summary of God Word. The verse before the Lord’s Prayer (verse 8): “Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.” Two very specific messages are given to us here:
The verse after the Lord’s Prayer (verse 15): “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Forgive - For us to be forgiven, we also need to forgive. Not for the benefit of the person who is being forgiven, but for our inner peace, and in obedience to our Father. Forgiveness is such an important feature for God that he sent His own Son to the world to take all the worldly sin upon Him, to be tortured, to die and to rise again after three days so that we do not have to live under the law anymore, but under the grace of God, thus, to be forgiven by God as He also instructs us to forgive. Therefore fellow Seeder, we need to get closer and closer to God, every minute of every day, and that includes prayer and studying Scripture. Be safe, love one another with the love of Christ, let us forgive each other as often as we can and let us put all our faith in God Almighty, our Father, the Creator of heaven and earth. Blessings in Christ, Sidney Lottering For reference: “8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matt 6:8-15 KJV) |
